December Log: A missing cat

One more day until my parents going to Umrah. Today was the last day of preparation and I helped all that I could. My morning was a bit freeing. Me and Miaa woke up quite late, quarter past nine in the morning. After Miaa's breakfast and milk, I get myself into the bathroom for a morning shower. Right at that moment, Ucu Julai and Pak Usu Nuri took Miaa with them going to Wancu Kayah's house. I had a relax breakfast although it was just peanut butter sandwich and coffee. 11:00 am came by and Miaa was back home and pooped. It is shower time for her. Right after that, I need to hang my laundry and I brought Miaa outside to sit on her stroller tricycle. She chilled breathing the fresh air while eating keropok given by Ucu Julai while I hanged my laundry.

While tidying the living room, Miaa picked up a Christmas Tree craft by Uniqlo. I had nothing to do so I tried to assemble it while Miaa was desperately trying to rip the craft paper into pieces. It was actually easy to assemble and took less than two minutes to do it.

Evening came by and Wancu Kayah was at our house visiting mother since she is going to Umrah tomorrow. Me and Miaa went out for a quick stroll around the house with her stroller tricycle. We met Wan Teh and hangout for a while. She is old now and cannot remember much as she tends to forget two minutes after talking with her but I still enjoyed our conversation together.

Moving on to the missing cat story. Adik has 3 cats; Momo, Mimi and Mika whom ayah took care of. Earlier they talk about neutering all three of them but adik was always busy and has no time to bring them to vet. The reason to neuter them was to avoid any unwanted pregnancy from the cat but it was too late. One of them is pregnant now. It has been for weeks. I was not sure who is the father but I am guessing the grey cat aka the kidnapper. Today, I heard that father saw the pregnant cat was bleeding when he was cleaning the cage. He lets them out and in the beginning, mother saw all 3 of them together still nearby. By lunchtime, mother called them to feed them fish but the pregnant cat refused to eat. In the evening, mother voiced out her concerned as she has not seen the bleeding pregnant cat anywhere. Then, adik came back home from work and mother told him what happen. He went out to search for the pregnant cat but the cat was nowhere to be found. Adik was devastated. And I am getting sad writing about this missing cat story. There could only be two things happen to the cat; either the cat died of bleeding somewhere, never to be seen again and adik left with 2 cats or the cat probably already gave birth somewhere but still unsure of the survival of the cat and kitten since this is the first pregnancy and I do not think the cat knows what to do. I am just hoping and praying for the cat to be okay.

December Log: Kitten kidnaping

Twas a lovely morning. Me and Miaa woke up at 9:00 am to an empty house. Not that empty, it was actually just quiet. My parents went out for a while and angah and adik were still sleeping. I checked the schedule for today and we were free all day. As if I have a schedule haha. Since my parents were out, it was just me and Miaa in the morning having breakfast. I fed Miaa first and let her drink milk then I had my breakfast. Both of us did not shower until late morning because there was nowhere to go, why rush it.

By 11:00 am, angah and adik were awake and all of us were doing our things when suddenly angah shouted calling for adik. She was outside hanging the laundry. I rushed out too. I saw Aqil and Ucu Julai were chasing a grey cat. Apparently the grey cat caught Julie's baby (Julie is Ucu Julai's cat). They were trying to get the baby back. Adik joined the chasing but unfortunately the grey cat was running fast into the wood and was never seen after that. Poor Julie, she just gave birth few weeks ago. It was the only kitten that survived. Now she has none. There was no hope for the kitten now. I should stop talking about this, it is making me sad.

After the incident, we went back to do our thing. Since we have water now, I tried my best to wash all the dirty dishes that was left unwashed. I wanted to clean my room but it was already lunchtime for Miaa. Maybe I will do it tomorrow. It was a chill Monday. The weather was cooperating with all the laundry that we had for the past two days. I even managed to hang my comforter as it was kind of smelly. Miaa was just being Miaa; playing with the cats roughly, scattering all of her toys in the living room, watched Ms Rachel and climbing onto stuff without thinking of the risk (I mean yeah, she is still a baby).

By night time, alang had arrived at the airport from Yogyakarta. Father went to pick her up. I wanted to tag along but mother forbids me from going because Miaa needs to keep a distance from Alang until she showered because covid, of course. When alang came back home, Miaa was already asleep. It was okay, there are always a time to play tomorrow.

December Log: No water supply day 2

Welcome to day two of no water supply and Merry Christmas! I wanted to sleep more in the morning but I had to wake up because Miaa kept on bugging me. Mother asked me if I wanted to tag along to go for a wedding. There was still no water so we cannot cook and other choice was to eat at the wedding and I said yes to wedding food. Not the usual morning routine, after Miaa's breakfast and milk, I let her play first and I quickly took a shower. Not long after that she pooped haha, that was what I am waiting for. I grabbed her and took her in for a shower and we get ourselves ready for the wedding. Adik and Angah were still sleeping in as usual. We left at 11:30 am headed to the wedding.

After a confusing journey to the wedding venue, we arrived in a beautiful wooden house infused with concrete, looking like a traditional Malay concept home. The wedding hall was at the back of the house. When we arrived, the bride and groom were not out yet so we got lunch and a bunch of other food. I tried giving Miaa some rice but she refused to eat it. In the end, she had keropok, apam and 2 spoons of rice. Remember we had Miaa's bottle delivered yesterday, well we got to use it today! It was so easy to let her to drink. It was just that she still does not know how much intake of water she needed every time she suck the straw, she always ended up coughing but never mind, she is still learning.

I wanted to compliment the venue which is called Paut. I love the concept. I even love the pelamin. The place was not that big but for sure good enough to let people sit down and talk with each other while having their meals. It was lovely. I like it. If I was not married yet, maybe I would consider this event space hehe.

Evening comes by and while me and Miaa were taking our naps, Angah woke us up and asked if we want to go to Ucu Julai's school to take a shower because our water in the tanks were all dried up. I immediately prepare the necessities of mine and Miaa's and by 5:30 pm we were on our way to the school at Bukit Tampoi. Ucu Julai was already there as she went ahead around 5:00 pm with Syasya and Abby. Since there were two stalls available for us to take a shower, me and mother went in first and I let Miaa played outside at the playground with Angah and Adik. It was not Miaa's first encounter with playground but it was her first since she can walk. They played with the slide and she seemed to be enjoying herself and did not mind me going away for a while to shower; she always sticks to me like glue. After finishing up and everyone had showered, the clock ticks 6:30 pm and we rushed ourselves to gather our things and headed out. Ucu Julai went to Dengkil first as she needed to pick up the nasi goreng that everybody had ordered while me, Miaa, mother, Angah and Adik went home.

Driving back home, we got a message saying the water disruption has ended and the supply is coming. Reaching home I quickly checked the faucet and yes! Water! But the colour does not look good. Mother said to let it be for a while. I am just glad that the two days of no water supply was over!

December Log: No water supply day 1

Saturday in the weekend. It was going to be a fun morning because all of my siblings are having their day off and we can hang except Alang was not here, she went to Yogyakarta; Adik was still sleeping in and so was Angah. It was just me and Miaa I guess and of course my parents and Wancu Ijah. Mother wanted to bring Wancu to visit Mak Uda since she came out of surgery weeks ago. So after waking up at 8:30 am, I rushed to shower Miaa and fed her breakfast and morning milk then prepare myself. It was nasi lemak and the tarik for breakfast this morning, what lovely breakfast indeed! Around 10 am we headed to Mak Uda's.

After that we stopped by the mart because mother and Wancu wanted to get few things for lunch while me and Miaa just stayed in the car. I tried calling my husband but he did not pick up so both of us ended up taking a bunch of selfies together just for memories :)

Reaching home, the news of no water supply really changes everything. Mother could not cook, I cannot drink water from the water dispenser and a lot of other things. But one good thing happened today was that Miaa's water bottle arrived! Miaa is now able to drink using a straw, so I was finding a suitable water bottle for her and found it at Shopee under the brand, Diller. It is so cute, I cannot wait for Miaa to use it. It will be such a convenient going out with this water bottle because before this I always bring a tiny Starbucks cup that I bought for her but now no more.

I really hope we will have water supply tomorrow, Amin.

December Log: Hanging out at the laundry and short airport trip

It is Friday! The third day of December Log and I decided to bring Miaa to the laundromat. Why do I need to go to the laundromat while my parents have washing machine at home? Because it is raining season and some of the clothes here at home still have not dried up since yesterday. I have tons of clothes to be wash and I would really like for it to be dry today. I was not going to trust the weather so to the-coin-operated-washing-machines-and-dryer place.

After breakfast, Miaa and I went to the laundromat at Bukit Changgang, right next to the 99Speedmart that I went yesterday. I thought I could walk straight in and put my clothes in but the dryers were full of other people's clothing. I had to wait 5 minutes for one of the dryer to be done. Once done, I quickly took out the clothes of the other person and put mine in the dryer. It cost me RM4 for 25 minutes of drying my clothes. While doing all of that, Miaa was happily walking around the laundromat checking every inch of the washing machines and dryers. Thankfully there were less people inside as some of them did not waited for the clothes.

I thought 25 minutes was easy to wait but then I got bored and Miaa starting to climbed on top of me. With 10 minutes left for the dryer to be done, me and Miaa headed to 99Speedmart just to check out on some stuff, maybe food. After strolling around the mart, I bought a peach yoghurt for Miaa and vitamin water for myself including milk and a bread. After keeping everything that we purchased inside the car, we went back to the laundromat to check on our clothes and thankfully it was done. I quickly put the clothes inside the Ikea bag and we went back to the car. I was not feeling going back home yet, so me and Miaa sit in the car and shared a cup of peach yoghurt together while listening to Doja Cat's songs then half way of eating the yoghurt, we drove back home.

Later in the evening after Asar, me, Miaa and father sent Alang and her friend, Intan Meily to the airport. Alang and Intan Meily were going for a trip to Yogyakarta. Initially their flight was supposed to be at 5:30 pm but it was pushed back to 7:30 pm. I thought we will send them until the gate but father decided to just dropped them off. I managed to snap a picture of them before going into the airport. I was kind of excited to show Miaa what airplane looks like but to no avail, we cannot see them clearly unless we stop by at the side. Then we went straight back home.

December Log: Miaa's clinic checkup

Rise and shine, Miaa's clinic checkup today. Back in KL, me and Miaa enjoyed sleeping till late morning so when it was time to wake her up early, it was a hassle. I had to forcefully open my eyes since I only slept for 2-3 hours (I guess) and then wake Miaa up. She refused to opened her eyes. Yes, I know sleeping is the best thing in the world but we need to get up and start our day, we have somewhere to be this morning. Once awake, I showered her, fed her breakfast and morning milk then prepared myself.

It was shot day! She turned one year old few days back and it was time to get the monthly shot. I was thinking of filming her reaction of getting shot but felt like it was inappropriate to do that in a clinic. Besides, I needed to hold her tight since she was getting her shot at her thigh. She did cried a bit but she was fine after that. We did not went straight back home after the clinic as I wanted to go to 99Speedmart. I am going to stay longer in Banting, so I need to stash some beverages and snacks for myself haha. I cannot remembered how much I spent but it did not cost more than RM20 I think, it should be enough.

My parents are going to Umrah next week so they are busy preparing their stuff to bring for the trip. So, nighttime came by, me, Miaa, my sister Alang and mother went out to Mitsui Outlet Park. Mother wanted to find a travel pillow, luggage tags and face masks. I just tagged along because I wanted to buy Boost juice ehek. While waiting for my juices, I put Miaa in a kiddie ride. I did not pay for it, I just put her because it was a car and has steering wheel. She loves steering wheel. She was doing fine in the kiddie ride until my sister came. I went to pickup my juices and when I came back, Miaa was scared of the kiddie ride as my sister decided to spent RM2 for it. The kiddie ride was moving back and forth with song playing in the background and I think Miaa got scared of the movement as that was her first kiddie ride ever. She was fine after that but my sister wasted her RM2 since Miaa does not want to sit in it.

December Log: Going back to hometown

Hi again, it has been a while. Latest update, I am married and had a baby. I have not been writing for the past years and felt like I had abandoned this blog. So let's try again. Let's write!

I live in KL now with my husband and today I am going back to my hometown, Banting with Miaa, my baby; while my husband have to go to Johor. We recently purchased a new carseat for Miaa and I had the hardest time to put her on it. She was struggling to sit in it and I was struggling to strap her in it. We both struggled haha. Nevertheless, it was pouring with rain that afternoon and I still have not had lunch so me and Miaa stopped by at McDonalds to grab some food. We parked after getting the food from the drive thru and ate while waiting for the rain to calm a bit.

When I thought the rain has stopped, I started my engine and drove away from the McDonalds. At first Miaa was doing great, I put on Ms Rachel on YouTube for her to watch but 15 minutes after that, she was screaming for freedom! I could not do anything as I was driving and we were already in the highway and I cannot stop anywhere. The rain that was gone just now came back pouring and this time it was brutal. I could not see the road and felt like my car was shaking because of the wind. I prayed she would fall asleep and thank god she did. Now I can focus on the journey back home but the weather was wicked. I heard thunder and saw lightning right before my eyes and the thought of the lightning would strike my car anytime was in my mind all the time. Thankfully we reach my parents house safe and sound.

I was finally home and was tired AF from driving in the wicked weather. By nighttime, we did not do much as we only spent some time with the family and head to bed except I did not went to bed haha. I was up all night searching for job opportunity and I think I did apply for a few jobs. Hopefully I get a callback soon. Fingers cross.
